Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31 October 2026

This policy explains what information Typeladder ("we", "us") handles when you use this website. The site is operated by YOUR NAME OR COMPANY NAME, YOUR COUNTRY. Contact: contact@typing-mystery.pages.dev.

1. Summary

2. Information stored on your device

The site uses your browser's local storage to save your progress: level results, lesson completion, mistyped-key counts, session history (speed, accuracy, date) and your preferences such as sound and keyboard lighting. This data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time from Settings (Reset all progress) or by clearing your browser's site data. See Cookies and Storage.

3. Information we receive

We do not run user accounts and do not collect names, email addresses or typing content on our servers. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address and message, and use it only to reply and improve the site.

4. Hosting and technical data

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

5. Fonts

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address and standard request data. See Google's privacy policy for details.

6. Analytics and advertising

At the date above we do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add advertising or analytics in future, we will update this policy first, list the providers, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

7. Legal bases (UK and EU users)

Where data protection law applies, we rely on legitimate interests (running and securing the site), consent (where we ask for it) and, for messages you send us, taking steps you request.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, to object to processing, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because progress data lives on your device, you can delete it yourself. For any request about information we hold, email contact@typing-mystery.pages.dev. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

9. Children

The site is suitable for learners of all ages, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Children under 13 (or the age required in your country) should use the site with a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, they rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers.

11. Security and retention

We use HTTPS and standard security headers. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond and for our records. Progress data stays on your device until you delete it.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
